Have a 25″ washer & dryer and must fit them through a 23″ doorframe. I’ve been told that I can take off a panel and angle the hollow space around a door to fit it. Is this true?

I want to get my boyfriend one of those motorcycle dryers for Christmas. I don’t know anything about them. I found information on the Metro Air Force and the Black Baron. Which is better? Where can I get them? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My apartment burned on 1/11/07. A local church gave me a used washer that had been donated to them; however, there was no drier. Since then I have had to rely on a laundry line to dry my clothes. Now that I have realized over the course of these 3 months that my power bill is so much lower, I am considering not even buying a dryer.

I started to research line-drying laundry & apparently in some countries this is mandatory. I then discovered that a friend of mine who lives in Australia has never even owned a dryer (I always just assumed everyone used clothes dryers)

Then it occured to me if 100% of the popluation agreed to Line-Dry thier clothes for just the warmer months of the year… then wouldn’t the earth be much better for it? Is this idea perhaps one small way to help prevent Global Warming?

And… I have been pleasantly surprised (having never Line-Dried before) that my clothes require less if any ironing. My linen napkins actually look as if they have been ironed.

Anna

I just moved and bought a gas dryer. I have always had electric in the past, so I have nothing to compare it to. The few loads I have washed are taking upwards of two hours to dry - regular load, not heavy items. Have checked vent, etc., all is good. Just wondering if gas dryers typically take a lot longer.

All asian countries have washer and dryer combined into a single unit. Most are typically top loading. However, washing and drying are separate functions in USA.
Why are there no combined washer-dryers in USA, like in Asia?

The apartment that I am about to move into does not have a laundry facility or hook-ups. I am curious toknow if there are any that do not require this. Please do not answer my questions with warnings about moving into a place like this. I know what a pain it is going to be but with my budget it is the only choice.

Clumsy asked:

I want to add on a full laundry room that is equipped like a laundromat: with multiple washers and dryers (except no coins). Just so we can get our laundry done in one stop. Three loads in and three loads out. It’s a drag doing one load at a time. Is this unheard of? Ever see a home have this?
