Kristy Scott asked:

Many women these days are so fond of styling their hair. If you are one of them, you got to admit that most of the hairstyles are achieved with the use of proper tools. Any heat giving devices have played an important role in setting your hair from being straight to curly or vice versa. Celebrity hairs can be copied and worn on ordinary days even if you were just headed for school or even for work. Because of these devices, stay in moms who never had other destinations other than picking up the kids, the grocery and home, can look amazing simply by having time to style up their hair. Anyone, who possess them also possess the ability to achieve great hairstyles without having to shell out money or even having it done by the hands of the professionals.

There are also simple hairstyles that can make a 360 degrees turn to your simple looks. Adding volume for your limp hair, giving body to your naturally straight hair, or even as simple as having it dried to pave way for other advanced styling can be easily done with the use of a hair dryer. Since this device is one of the most important tools in hairstyling, you should know how to use it safely at home.

Let us start of with choosing the device. First and foremost, you should not be settling for cheap alternatives. Aside from the fact that you should be going for ceramics, make sure that it has an automatic feature of shutting down the device when it gets too hot or has been turned on for minutes without use.

Second, never use it on places near with water. If you do not want to die in the name of beauty, please do not do this. You might accidentally knock the device out and in to a bathtub full of water. Do not even get it closer to the sink. If you think you are clumsy enough, then it is about time that you should avoid plugging them in where water is at abundance.

Third, as much as possible never leave them on. Do not ever forget unplugging them especially when it is left on places with combustible materials.

Fourth, be careful in using this device in a foreign country. You have to be aware that there are different voltages set in different countries. Normal voltage in United States is 110 volts at 60 Hertz. Therefore, most of the devices in our country work on this voltage. If you were to bring this into a foreign country, learn about their voltage and check the features of your hair dryer if it is dual-voltage. If it is then you do not have to use a converter to use it safely with a different level of voltage.

Fifth, if you are aware that you have been using the dryer for hours already, be careful on touching its parts. It might be too hot for you. On top of that, you do not want to get thermal burns from it. Therefore, use it with caution so as not to sacrifice your skin from getting beautiful hair.

Endy asked:

Currently when you straighten your hair with blow dryer and a round brush, were you be skeptical that whether the ionic hair dryers live up to their claim of drying hair faster, and healthier? Here are some advices you could take into account.

Advice 1:

With a blow dryer and a styling brush. The blow dryer does not dry any faster, although it is very gentle and takes tangles out of your hair. It could makes your hair less full than a reg. dryer, which makes your fine hair full and tangly. Then use the ionic one to smooth and detangle. The curling brush doesn’t do anything special. Also have the sharper image hair brush. It makes your hair smell fresh.

Advice 2:

With a Revlon ionic dryer and prompty returned it after one use. It was not only VERY heavy, but also it took almost twice as long for you to dry or straighten your hair. This was no doubt due to the fact that it generated very little heat–great for hair but not so great for a tight schedule.

Advice 3:

With an ionic hair dryer. When you blow dry your hair and then straighten with a flat iron. Switching to an ionic blow dryer has done wonders with split ends! Usually let your hair air dry until you are ready to blow dry it. It doesn’t take any longer than your normal previous dryer. It has 3 heat settings and 3 blowing settings…so the heat is never an issue. Infact, left it on “Medium” heat, and have never put it on “hot” heat setting.

Anyway, Wash your hair, put Pomade in it (not alot, as it can make your hair look oily after blow drying), then blow dry it. There are alot of different Pomades, but go with the all natural that the only ingredients are Petrolatum, Fragrance and Lanolin Oil. Your hair would be totally different, it would be not so dry, looks healthier, feels great.

We offer the best hair dryers source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair dryer for you and your hair. All about hair dryers on http://www.hdryers.com.

I have a Maytag MD9206 gas dryer and recently it has stopped heating up. I have checked the gas, fuses, circuits, and all of that. I have also vaccumed out the vents and everything else, so I know that’s not it. I am getting no flame or ignition at all, so I am thinking it may be a problem with the ignitor. Does anybody know where the ignitor’s are typically located on Maytag gas dryers, and how I would get to it to change it?
Thanks!
We were both right…there was a G in there, but it was also a 9. The model number is mdg9206aww. I found the ignitor, pulled it out, and it was snapped in two, so I’m guessing that was the problem! haha! Thanks for helping!

M asked:

Okay, I was wondering if hood dryers and diffusers provide the same results when drying curly hair? I mean, they both release indirect airflow, thus inflicting minimal damage onto the hair, so, aside from being able to cup the curls diffuser bowl, is there any other advantage that the diffuser has over a hood dryer?

At Williams Direct Dryers™, our many different styles of industrial and commercial dryers are augmented by our line of electric dryers and can dry turnout gear, hazmat suits, cold water rescue suits, facepieces, helmet, boots and gloves and other ppe gear. They are the best forced air dryers on the market because they are designed in strict accordance with the NFPA’s drying recommendations for drying fire fighting ensembles.

Even after twenty years our electric wall mount and portable dryers continue to evolve. In January of this year we added a fully enclosed blower to our models. And with many cities and townships now demanding more energy efficiency with equipment purchased, we’ve addressed this need by including an energy management cycle on our dryers. Where appropriate, this energy management switch can reduce energy consumption by over 70%.

The difference in our dryers is that the warmed drying air is delivered directly to the toughest part of the clothing to dry first, ensuring even and safe drying. For example boots are dried from the toe back, and gloves from the fingers back. Our turnout gear dryers surround the inside and outside of the coat and jacket with an envelope of moving air; creating an air drying chimney effect inside of both. Meanwhile, cold water rescue and hazmat suits are hung upside down and gently warmed air is directed to the inside boot and glove portions and at the body of the suits.

Our series of wall mount and portable PPE dryers are truly an engineered system; requiring only one foot of horizontal space per gear drying station. Each of our dryers is hand built in the Williams factory out of American components, with a superstructure made of welded heavy duty steel construction then powder coated to ensure an exceptionally long life. In addition, all Williams Direct Dryers™ are designed to plug into any standard 110 volt circuit; helping to make our technology compatible with older fire houses.

Williams Direct Dryers™ is proud to count many fire departments all over North America as well as the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Navy, and NASA as valued and satisfied customers. We’d love to add you to this prestigious list. Visit Williams Direct Dryers’ fire specific website at www.ppedryers.com and read first-hand testimonials from satisfied customers while learning more about the pricing and models available to you.
