Do you spend alot of time and money in the dryers at the laundry mats only to find they are still wet one hour

I go to the laundry mat put in my quarters for a half hour time. Then I go to pull out my laundry to find them still wet.I add more quarters more time still not done .I want to see if we can regulate the dryers so they heat up and are ready.
