I have a Chi, though expensive, I look at the retail stores and see very similar & much cheaper ones. Does it make that much of a difference?

The chi for curling iron use conair it will last long.
The chi for your flat iron use conair it works good and last longer than cheaper ones but for your flat iron it will last long.

Stick with the Chi
I have had other flatirons, but the CHI is definetly the best. There are a few different styles…I bought the $120 iron and the only thing it doesnt have that the $200 one has is different heat settings, but I love it. My friends that are hair stylists also agree. The trick to using a flat iron is to also use a heat protectant straightening lotion or gel in your hair before you straighten. That way you will burn the product and not your hair. Good Luck!
